INTENSE PULSE LIGHT (IPL)
How Intense Pulse Light Works:
A broad spectrum of light is transmitted through a small hand piece.
Different filters are used in the hand pieces which change the wave length range allowing for different applications and skin types.
The light penetrates the tissue and is absorbed by either the blood when treating vascular lesions or melanin when treating pigmented lesions which causes damage to the targeted cells. The body’s natural process then removes the injured tissue giving the skin a more even and youthful appearance. Four to six treatments administered at three week interval.
